After installation of a chosen brand (or "distribution") of Linux, the package is run to lock-down all operating system components, utilities, and settings. It currently supports RedHat, Debian, Mandrake and <acronym title="Hewlett Packard">HP</acronym>-UX systems, with eventual support for SuSE and TurboLinux.</p> <p class="body">Since Bastille Linux does not extensively alter core operating system software, application software can usually be deployed quickly on Bastille Linux with just a modest investment of effort.
